ABOUT SDP

Student Development Program

IEEE SDP (Student Development Program) is an initiative of IEEE FISAT SB with an aim of "Building Student Professionals" to support and develop all the passionate tech enthusiasts and foster young minds there. The Student Development Program is an open call to all our student members who are interested in sharpening their technical skills and to advance in their area of interest. SDP is a yearlong program, where the students are mentored and trained in different domains. The student members of our student branch will be provided with assistance, support, and guidance by experienced students in selected domains. The initial stage of the program will contain an introduction to the domain and the core areas that have to be focussed. To ensure that they have received the clear cut idea of the topic, hands-on sessions are made available to gather experience and exposure. This process will continue throughout the year with the opportunities to build projects in the selected domains and to attend hackathons and other competitions. This will help the students not only to develop their technical skills but also to improve their collaboration, teamwork, creativity, time management, and much more. SDP also provides a free space for students to showcase their innovative ideas and to clear their doubts in any other domain. Weekly meetings are organized for the members of each domain to discuss their strategy and plan of action. Meeting of the mentors is also organized where they will communicate with each team's progress and their next aim.

HISTORY OF SDP

SDP was the brainchild of Master Zacharia Joshy, who served as the technical coordinator of IEEE FISAT SB 2019-20.
